I think that they were motivated because they knew that it was a new start for them.

They just wanted to still have their own religions that they grew up with in their own countries.

I agree with Tailor and instead of keeping some of the rules of their religion they could leave some of the religious rituals they didn't like out.

I believe religious freedom motivated the lives of those coming to the new world because they had the right to have any kind of religion they wanted. They didn't have to worry about having the same beliefs of other people.

I believe that it gave people something else besides going to school, working for almost all day, and also gave hope to people who lost hope and were in despair. It gave people something to look forward to in the future. It help them believe in new hope that god will help them through, and then you have people who thought there is no god and had to do everything themselves they worked toward the goal of working hard to earn thing themselves. Its just like the slaves when they were finally able to go to church and learn that if they treat there masters with respect, that god will reward them with freedom. They used that as a way to get through life just like we use things from the bible, as we did before we still do now. I believe that its good what people believe in religion it is what got us here today and now. I mean if we did not have any of this what would the world be like now it good to have some type of religion.

I agree with you Mario. Religion got all the work and school worries off their minds and gave them time to focus on their self. Them practice their religion gave them hope and the will power they probably never had. That's why coming to the new world was such a success for them.

I think that they didn't want anyone telling them what to do. They knew that moving to America was their only chance to practice what they want and do what they want.

I think freedom of religion was good for them because they don't have to worry about a king or whoever is in change to say what they can and can not believe in.

They came to the new world to have their own religion. They didn't want people tell them what they had to believe in.
